The edges of the Halo are slightly rough and rubbery.  This allows the Halo to easily grab your quilt and allows you to quilt smoothly.   Place your halo on top of your basted quilt.  Slide your quilt and halo under the foot of your machine.  Hold the edge of the Halo with gentle pressure, this will give you the control that is needed to quilt beautiful designs.   Just slide your quilting around with gentle pressure and you're halo will give you wings!
